Hodiē dē origine Sāturnālium loquar et proximiīs in episodiīs dē diē ipsō celebrandō loquar. Apud Graecōs, fuērunt quinque aetātēs hominum: aetās aurea, aetās argentea, aetās aënea, aetās heroica, et nostra aetās: aetās ferrea. Apud Rōmānōs, fuērunt quattuor aetātēs nam dē aetāte heroicā nōn scrībēbant. Hae aetātēs hominēs in peiōrem vitae condiciōnem descendere significābant. Id est, rēs peiōrēs factae sunt post aetātem auream et peiōrēs post aetātem argenteam, et cētera. Aetāte aureā, nōn Iuppiter sed Sāturnus, pater Iōvis, rēx mundī fuit. Nōmen enim feriārum Sāturnālium ē Sāturnō venit. Sāturnus deus agricultūrae et abundantiae fuit. Aetāte aureā hominēs mortālēs cum dīs immortālibus vivēbant. Ubīque fuit pax et concordia. Hominēs vitās longiōrēs vivēbant et bonī honestīque fuērunt. Hominēs agrōs nōn colēbant nam omnēs frūctus ē terrā veniēbant sine agrīs cultīs. Quamquam vītās longās vivēbant, semper vidēbantur iūniōrēs. Cūr autem dē aetāte aureā loquor? Rōmānī Sāturnālia diē septimō decimō celebrāre coepērunt et Sāturnalia sex ferē diēs celebrābant nam feriae sunt quibus ad aetātem auream redīmus et omnia cibō, vīnō, dōnīs, et laetitiā abundant!
