This course offers a structured yet dynamic environment for practicing spoken Latin through guided conversation. Each session provides prompts and conversational structures to support targeted fluency development while allowing for free-form discussion. Topics range from current readings to personal interests and current events (no debates). Discussions are expertly facilitated by the group leader, Andreas, ensuring maximum speaking opportunities for each participant while keeping the conversation engaging and accessible.
Designed for those with prior Latin-speaking experience (roughly two years of college Latin), this course welcomes both classical and ecclesiastical pronunciations. All materials are provided. The concise 45-minute format accommodates busy schedules while fostering fluency and community.
This course is repeatable, allowing returning participants to continue refining their skills. Limited to 5 participants for a personalized experience, with pricing reflecting this small-group setting.
There are 2 sections of this course.
Schedule:
8 45-minute sessions over 8 weeks
Section 1: Sundays, 9:00 - 9:45 am EST*
Section 2: Mondays, 10:00 - 11:45 am EST*

*The course will observe US time, including major US federal holidays. If participants miss a session because they are observing a religious holiday, they can arrange a separate session with the instructor.
