Hi! I’m Andrew (Andrēās Latīnē, he/him is/eum). I graduated from UMass Amherst in 2015 and 2017 with a BA in Classics and MAT in Latin and Classical Humanities respectively and nurtured there my love for teaching Latin and ancient Greek. I began speaking Latin in 2016 with Paideia at Living Latin in Rome where I was immediately inflamed with the desire to speak Latin just about every day. Each day since, I have spent a great deal of my time learning and understanding how to speak better, read better, and better grapple with the texts of the ancient world and the ancient world itself.

Throughout my journey into speaking Latin (and eventually ancient Greek), I have had the immense pleasure of meeting so many kind and wonderful people who regularly amplify my faith in humanity. I have spent a great deal of that time speaking Latin with SALVI through their various Rusticationes and have even taught at a few maximō cum gaudiō! I have taught students ranging from ages 11 to 65 through middle and high schools, Telepaideia, Paideia’s Living Latin in New York, SALVI’s Rusticationes and Bidua, and GrecoLatinoVivo’s Biduum Florentinum and have found great joy in helping others along in their ancient language learning experience.

I currently live in Massachusetts with my amazingly talented fiancée Ilse and her son (whom I also love dearly as a son) where we spend our time hanging out together in all kinds of languages. I enjoy doing archery, playing guitar, singing, photography, and reading in my spare time when I can find it.
